GLYCOLIC ACID is the most effective (AHA) Alpha Hydroxy Acid. Derived from sugar cane juice, it works first by gently removing the excessive build up of dead cells on the outer most layers of skin. It also softens and loosens up the oil and dirt that build up and causes large pores and acne. Once the initial exfoliation has taken place, the glycolic acid and topical vitamins are able to penetrate deeper into the lower skin layers. Studies show that with continued use of these ingredients, the collagen and elastin cells begin multiplying, which results in a thicker, smoother epidermis (top skin layer) with more elastin (connective tissue) that keeps the skin firm and tight. The result is healthier, younger looking skin.

Vitamins C, A and E are among the antioxidant vitamins that protect cells against damage from oxidation (destruction by oxygen). Vitamin C is required for tissue growth and the formation of collagen. Vitamin A is need for the maintenance and repair of skin tissue and the formation of elastin. This important vitamin slows the aging process. Vitamin E improves the circulation and is also necessary for tissue repair. This means that these vitamins when used together have greater effect than when used separately.
